Which one do you have? Mine has taken the toll of the heat/sun to the point where it no longer holds a charge.

G1W-H. The mic is only so-so and it makes everything look far away but overall a good camera at a nice price.

Ah, thanks. I have the G1w, but converted it to a G1w-C after the battery failed (not a difficult process, just expensive due to the shipping of the capacitor from DigiKey). It’s held up strong, but depletes and my settings reset if I don’t use my car for a day and a half. I’ve been looking for something with a heftier power storage.

I have a B40/A118, which is basically the same camera as the G1W (including capacitor battery option), but with a much better mounting system and form factor (and a wider angle lens). I’ve Also been able to play around with a Mini-0805 which takes higher res video, and has built in GPS. It feels pretty solid, though I still prefer the B40 mounting system.

G1W? Does it only have a storage capacity of five hours and record in three-minute increments?

6 hours but you can buy a bigger memory card, and you can choose how long the loop is or if it looks at all.

Wow, I didn’t know I could adjust the loop length; thank you for letting me know that. The camera says it’s up to 32 GB, which only records five hours; that’s nothing.
